adequate childcare and poor medical, children are at particular
risk. Some children are sold to traffickers as a means to pay
back job acquisition dept.

| Sanitary conditions are
deplorable. Human waste from the bathrooms is found under this
shack housing because their are no toilets, only holes in the
floor.

| Over crowded conditions cause
disease, danger and depression. Many women are forced into
prostitution. Lack of job skills, social services and remedies
for exploitation, suppress any chance for advancement. A layoff
of 80,000 women in January of 2005 opened the door for mass
trafficking.

| Although some improvements have
been made in housing choices, the vast majority of the workers
live in extreme slum conditions adding to their hopelessness.

| Most of the workers are women
between ages 14 and 25. Many are vulnerable to exploitation
during the shift changes. There is no police protection in most
places and their protection ends at the factory gate.
